My kids, once asleep, sleep like logs. They wake up early nice and chipper. I on the other hand, never sleep much in a tent. I'm a light sleeper and hear every noise. I'm usually fully awake by 4 am when the birds start singing incessantly.

All fast asleep and snuggled up in their sleeping bags and pillows.

Nothing wakes these kids up.

I love pictures of my kids when they are sleeping. It is the only time they look completely innocent!

All ready for action on the first day of summer.

Looks like so much fun. I love traditions. I also love pictures of my kids asleep. They look so sweet and peaceful.
What a fun, family tradition. If we did this I wouldn't be able to resist my snuggly bed being so close, but yet so far away. I would have to sneak in for a little sleep once those birds woke me up.
I have some great memories of sleeping in my backyard with cousins and siblings. Great tradition!
Christi and I were on the phone the other day talking about Cav we were laughing about how our high school workouts were always harder than our college workouts and that HS was the best becuase of the expereinces we had in both track and cross country. We miss you CAV! Christi is going to try and get on to your blog list. She was jealous when I told her that I had made the cut.:) SOunds like the kids had a fun summer, love how you keep it all up to date Lara!
