First Grade Turkey Program

Today we had a turkey program in Chad's classroom. We were invited for school lunch (always such a treat to pay for school lunch) and a turkey program. The food was actually edible. Sean and Halle behaved themselves!!!!! (sometimes miracles do happen). And Chad's class and teacher did a great job. They read poems, sang songs, and said jokes all about turkeys and pilgrims and Indians.

Best of all, Chad's grandparents, Herm and Jeraldine, were also able to attend. They love being involved with their grandkids. The closer it gets for them to leave on their missions, the closer I come to having a total panic attack. I don't know what I am going to do with out them.

Ms. Kinzer and her first grade class sing a song.

Chad, actually participating.

Chad, aka "Brave Hunter."

I just LOVE that Ms. Kinzer!! What a cute program. Where are your inlaws going on their mission?

My in-laws have been preparing to go on a mission for over 2 years now. But they finally have turned in their papers and indicated they would be ready to go any time in January 2008.

I love that Chad's feather is in the front. Asa would've put his there too. Even Indians can put a spin on the old traditional feather headband right?

I can't believe they are going so soon. How long do they plan on being gone?

I love school programs! Chad looks so cute with his headband. And, I also think school lunches have improved over the years.

I hate eating school lunches. My mom always made my lunch for me and I never converted the the taste.

I just got caught up! You've been on a blogging roll! Your last month looks like a lot of fun and you've sure been busy at Chad's school. What a blessing for him and for his class.
